Talking Practice & The Exchange | David Cheeseman & John Wigley
Talking Practice is delighted to team up with the Faculty’s staff talk programme – The Exchange – to welcome David Cheeseman and John Wigley, both senior lecturers in Fine Art based at the School of Art, to give presentations on their practice. Both graduates of the Royal College of Art and the British School in Rome, Cheeseman and Wigley have a shared focus on materials and processes generating meaning in sculpture. Whereas Wigley employs iron, bronze and lead in his forms and objects as literal signifiers of burden or a suspended moment, Cheeseman draws from science, optics and magic, using slime mould, glass and neodymium magnets to deliberately confound and float the idea.
Talking Practice is delighted to host this talk, followed by a glass of wine in the Vittoria Street Gallery. All welcome. Come and join us!Book online here
