My research focuses on the relationship between massed voices and improvisation, particularly with my own specialism of the Trumpet in mind. By researching and developing compositional techniques I hope to find new ways of using choral forces to create frameworks in which to impovise. I am interested in areas of research including psychoacoustics, semiology and kinesics.
