Anti-fat, anti-femme and anti-Black/POC bias is prevelent in online queer dating social environments, often publicly and explicitly expressed on dating profiles with phrases such as “not into Black guys” and “no femmes/Asians” and the notable moniker “No fats, No femmes, and No Blacks or Asians”.

This research project will explore experiences of discrimination on queer dating apps and add further insight into the user experience of dating apps for marginalised queer people.
