I articulate how and justify why I have implemented playful, creative methodologies to gain new insight into advanced imaging and microscopy. The central approach I have taken is to engage directly with specialists in different scientific fields. The reason I undertook this research was to resituate art as an equal to science. My approach was to traverse two distinct forms of knowledge and explore new ways to examine both.
