My research explores dialogical arts practice as a method of learning about lived experience within a regenerated housing estate, a missing knowledge in housing regeneration practice. My aim is to develop a curatorial framework, defining a dialogical arts methodology that provides meaningful insight into lived experience.
I explore this aim through Re:connections, a project located in Lee Bank, a former 1960’s council estate in Birmingham UK. Delivered in two parts, part (1) tested 4 micro projects with artists and residents using different dialogic approaches. Part (2) included artist led walks facilitating embodied dialogues, followed by interactive installations presented to residents and regeneration professionals.
