My research investigates the spatial constructs and domestic material culture of the suburban post war home, against the enormous changes in the cultural and ethnic composition of the UK since.
My objective is to reveal this contemporary state through artistic practice, with narratives of lives past and present. I question; how can art practice explore contemporary life within the open plan post war British homes of the 1950s/60s? How does the propaganda from the time influence how we are living now? and what can we learn from a re-representation of this material environment?.
