We’ve all been in a talk where we wish the speaker would communicate more clearly or in a more engaging manner. Similarly, we’ve all felt the weight of expectation as we try to convey something that we think is important and in which we have invested time.
A brilliant idea or fascinating topic is one thing it seems, the ability to effectively convey that idea and topic another. In this interactive session, we will explore the good – and not so good – practices of presenting research to enable you to bring your research to life.
We will explore the art of performance in faciitating a great presentation. Invited speakers will also reflect on their own experiences, as well as the different types of audience to which a researcher might be expected to present, whether in the context of a conference or research seminar.
