Before Easter, we took part in … PressED: a WordPress and Education, Pedagogy and Research Conference on Twitter. Armed with plenty of coffee at Yorks Bakery, we embarked on our first Twitter conference experience. It was a chaotic, fun, operationally complex (involving multiple laptops, people live tweeting simultaneously and timekeeping par excellence from Emily) and at the same time extremely rewarding to see the positive comments from others.
.
The objective was for us to post one tweet every minute for a 15 minute period in relation to our abstract (see below) that explored the conference themes of using WordPress to support teaching, learning and research. The day also happened to coincide with PGR Studio Research Assistants Emily and Hassan’s last day and the official handover to their counterparts Julia and Paul. The event was also a great team building activity as we were thrown into the deep end in working together to get our tweets out.

We also used the opportunity to launch our next call for proposals for the fourth PGR Studio Annual Conference Research(er) Dialogues.
