Here’s PhD Student, Susie Self’s, new Installation Opera VIVID STREAM, which was performed at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire on the 27th June 2018 as part of The CODA Festival.

The installation is designed to run independently and continuously in a space. Perhaps in the foyer of an opera house so that people can interact with as much or as little as they like.
In the video there is an interface with ‘live’ improvised performance from Marina Whilte Raven: Dance and Robert Christie: Extended Voice.
The 3 guitarists play a guitar concerto that Susie specially composed for them.

The work is a companion piece to Susie’s opera QUILT SONG, it is non linear and non narrative.
