My research focuses on unique archive film footage of several outer London boroughs.I will examine what role film can play in charting social, cultural and physical changes to place and how audiences can be engaged in producing public history interpretations of urban space and mapping communities. The project will engage with emerging debates about personal and shared histories and the nature of the ‘outer’.
