Grandchildren of Experimental Music – performing the compositional act by creating intriguing situations in which musical sound may occur

I explore alternative methods of musical composition that question the distinction between composer and performer in order to create a series of large-scale works that engage a broader public in the production of radical music. Music is a social practice, but what are the implicit rules of its composition? Can I reinterpret these rules to incorporate public action, and is it possible to compose with the fabric of the city itself? The outcome of my research will introduce an expanded compositional practice that will serve as a blueprint to equip composer-performers with appropriate skills to question existing orthodoxies within a changing music world.
