Not quite a workshop about the arts and disruption

November 10, 2016 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Academic:       We’re doing a workshop about art
Artist:                It’s not a workshop
Academic:       Ok … we have to tell them what it is
Artist:                No let’s just have a row

An academic and an artist try to lead a workshop on what is the point of art, why do we engage with it, how do we make meaning from it?

Academic:        Come and help us. We need you. Please.
Artist:                 You sound so desperate
Academic:        Shut up

Caroline Horton and Dr Jacqueline Taylor have been funded in a collaborative research project that is trying desperately to work out what narrative, form and structure are and what they do across different art forms. And how we make sense of any of it.

There will absolutely definitely not be any sort of refreshments at all provided by us in gratitude for your participation.

Whoever comes are the right people.
Wherever it happens is the right place.
Whatever happens is the only thing that could have.
Whenever it starts is the right time.
When it is over, it is over.
