Getting to Grips with NVivo

March 28, 2019 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

NVivo is a qualitative data analysis software programme that enables researchers to collect, organise, analyse and visualise textual and audio-visual data sources. It is particularly useful for researchers dealing with in-depth levels of analysis on both small or large volumes of data and can also be used to organise and write literature reviews.

This workshop will introduce NVivo to first time users and can also be used as a refresher for existing users. The aim of the session is to give you a starting point to become familiar with the application by allowing you to practice creating a project.

At the end of this workshop you will be able to:

  • set up a project
  • import different file types
  • code different files
  • run queries
  • create models and charts to display your ideas
  • create summary reports

This is a bespoke workshop designed by IT specialists and ADM researchers for PhD researchers at different stages of their research careers and projects. All welcome!

Please note that limited spaces are available. Book your free place here.

If you are interested in an intermediate-level NVivo workshop, please email us at admpgr-studio@bcu.ac.uk
